A historic movie theater that became an impressive boutique hotel

Surrounded by water, nature, and the charm of Copenhagen's Hellerup neighborhood, Park Lane Copenhagen offers its guests a tranquil base from which to experience the dynamic beauty of Denmark's capital.
Opening after an extensive renovation in 2025, the boutique hotel is housed in the historic building of the former Strand Teatret cinema. Through a meticulous renovation process, the hotel has managed to preserve the warm and inviting soul of the century-old theater, while simultaneously showcasing contemporary Nordic craftsmanship.

Like the neighboring Øregårdsparken park opposite it, Park Lane is characterized by a natural color palette of cream tones, deep browns, and vibrant green accents. A calming blend of wood, brass, leather, marble, and mohair is present throughout the hotel's rooms and public spaces, creating an atmosphere that is at once elegant, tranquil, and inviting. This refined design choice is complemented in the guest bathrooms by a composition of AXOR products in Brushed Brass and Brushed Red Gold finishes.

A perfect match with AXOR

With an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, it was only natural for Park Lane Copenhagen to incorporate AXOR faucets and showers in its bathrooms. In the Hilliger Master Suite, deep black marble, a bathtub, and a double vanity complement a wide range of accessories in a brilliant Brushed Brass finish.

The bathroom features a unique composition of an AXOR One thermostatic module in a wall-mounted installation, an AXOR Starck hand shower, and an AXOR Citterio bath spout. For the double sinks, the designers chose AXOR Citterio C faucets with textured handles.
In the shower, guests can enjoy a luxurious composition of a showerhead and hand shower from the iconic AXOR Starck collection, combined with an AXOR One thermostatic module and an AXOR Drain channel.

The unique combination of three iconic collections – the essential and minimalist AXOR One, the sensual AXOR Citterio C, and the primally elegant AXOR Starck – emphasizes Park Lane Copenhagen's tangible yet relaxed philosophy of refinement.
